Should I perm my naturally curly hair?

After haivng my baby last year, my naturally curly hair has begun to look fuzzy and unatttractive. There are some pieces that are very curly and others that are straight. I have heard that perming your hair can make the curl more uniform. Is this true? I'd like a nice bouncy uniform curl. I don't have time to use rollers and such at home. I just like to scrunch and go. What would you recommend?

Do Not Perm!!! I thought I'd get rid of frizzy curls by getting a perm. Instead of having frizzy curls when the weather was damp, after the perm I'd have frizzy limp curls. Same story when I tried straightening it.

Better off to go to a hairdresser and have a good deep oil/conditioning treatment to restore your hair shaft. Tip: If your hair is at or below shoulder length, twist it up on top of your head in a bun at night and it will brush out into uniform curls/waves in the morning. I even do that instead of setting when I shampoo because of arthritis in my shoulders (I can't set my own hair any more), and I get a nice curly wave when it dries.

NOOOOO!! u'll regret it in a month when you have to keep going back to get it permed again %26amp; then in a yr when ur hair is fried!! %26amp; plus getting a perm will make ur hair straight since u have curly hair

you can buy a curl shampoo if you want to make it more curly, but I wouldn't go with a perm, you have natural curly hair!!!! Good Luck!

Should I perm my naturally curly hair?

Should I perm my naturally curly hair?

NO! Sorry i dodnt mean to shout but plz save yourself a life time of guilt . From your description of your hair type it sounds a lot like mine and i had the same problem you have no time and not the perfect hair so i did the perm and i wish i hadn't everday, you will have frizz fried like hair and you cant reverse the process it has to grow out and you dont need that after having a baby, and also perms dont give you the bouncy curls you want it gives you tight small curly fries hair so dont do it stick with gel or mousee and style it yourself.. Good luck with the baby:)
