I live in the tri-state area. I have curly hair but no one seems to know how to cut it so it looks normal! I used to go to The Fountain in Ramsey, but my stylist moved to Florida and no one else seems to know what they are doing. Help!
Where is a great hair salon who actually KNOWS how to cut curly hair?
Try naturallycurly.com, they have a list of recommended stylists for natural curls. And ideas and tips for how to find a good hairstylist.
It took me a long time to find someone good. A bad haircut can make a curly girl look terrible! Not just anyone can cut curls well.
My best non-specific recommendations would be to try someone who has curls themselves, or along the same line a salon that has a lot of african-american ladies as the texture of their hair is more similar to ours. Good luck!

I go to Lords and Ladies. They have locations everywhere and I like them becaues they rate their stylists on how many clients they get because people obivously like what they do and how experienced they are. So you know your not walking into someone who just got out of beauty school. My "master" stylists name is Alex she knows exactly what would look good with my skin color, face shape, and what products work best in my hair. I trust everything she does!
