i have really curly hair and im just wondering if a reverse perm will actually work and not leave waves or kinks in my hair.

I had a reverse perm done once, and it didn't do ANYTHING. All it did was break some of my hair and now I have clumps of hair that are shorter than the rest of my hair. I don't suggest doing it. It didn't make my hair any straighter.

My cuz still has "body" but it's as straight as I'd ever dreamed I'd want mine to be if it had worked on my head.

Do you mean using a "relaxer?" If you use a chemical straightening product(reverse perm/ relaxer) it'll work but you have to make sure you condition your hair because it can cause damage to your hair when not maintained properly.

No it will not work. You can have it chemically straightened and that will work. I do my friends hair and it really works on her. Doing a reverse perm will just add a process to your hair and the results will not be what you want.

I have super curly hair as well. I had mine relaxed in a salon and it didn't work... They really messed up my hair and I had to cut it. I wouldn't recommend it, I just straighten my hair some days...I am now pretty content with it being curly, now that I know I can have both.
