How to keep my curly hair straight?

I take a shower every day, blow dry it as straight as possible and flat iron it as best as I can, but it still curves out at my ears and does this annoying flippy thing at my shoulders.

I'm starting to wonder if maybe my hair can't straighten like other girl's because it's really thick and really curly.

Any suggestions?

No, you don't have a good straightener, get a CHI, available at most salons. It costs about $100-$200 depending on the sale. My suggestion is that you get one at JcPenney because they have the best sales.

My hair was the same way, until I got the CHI.

when you straighten it with the straightening iron, make sure you part your hair in small/thin pieces, if your hair is thick it tends to curl back if you grab too much hair while straightening. it works for me i've got thick hair as well. then use some Frizz Free serum all over the hair. make sure you don't use too much frizz free as it will make it oily and curly.

embrace your curly hair! I have naturally curly hair and I just use a straightening balm. The Matrix makes a really good one!

get an antihumectant to lock the moisture out of your hair which is the main reason it wwants to curl up. also, silicone based hair gloss such as aveda emollient for hair coats the strand and helps lock out humidy and moisture. they also sell an anti humectant hair pomade. put some of that on your hair while flat ironing it.. after you flat iron it, wrap your hair and get under the dryer for about 5 minues then com it out with a wide toothecomb. If you really want a silky wrap put the plast suran wrap around your hair then do the dryer thing for 5 min only.. that will help draw the excess moistur out and leave your hair silky with movement.

dude okay im like pro at straightening hair lol ive straightend my hair soooo much it dries straight...and it was really thick and really really really curly. lol

well wash your hair let it AIR DRY so it doesnt put as much heat on your hair since your already going to put heat on it with the straightner.

and after its completely dry [[ if its a little damp, it could still damage your straightner ]] put a little frizzys serum [[ drop or 2 ]] to calm the ends [[ and i have this and it wont make your hair oily or greasy ]] it just calms your hair so no strands will look fried or anything..

so after its dry. you get a couple hair ties. and put all off it up except a thin bottom layer. and work piece by piece [[ inch. length ]] and about half an inch [[ or less ]] thick.

and once the bottom layer is all done keep going layer by layer.

and spend at least 10 seconds going down on your hair with the straightner.

theres also this straightning brush by con air thats holds your in place while you straighten it and it works amazingly. anyways heres a pic of my hair...

hope you think its straight enough.

cuz what i just told you is what i do. lol
