Ways to deal with frizzy, thick curly hair???

my hair is curly frizzy and really thick. when i leave it down i often look like a lion. my hair is about mid length. other than straighten it what could i do to keep it under control??? what products are good?? i was thinking about getting a diffuser but im not sure if that will help. please give any tips you know!

use smoothing shampoos and conditioners, but you can't buy the cheap ones from drug stores, buy them from your salon or hair stylist. a diffuser might help with the frizz but u have to make sure you have a blow dryer with a low EMF so instead of blowing your hair all over the place it will use the heat to dry it in place. try putting your hair in rollers or just use a lot of hairspray or gel

mouse the heck out of it when its wet and apply a defrizzer serum and scrunch while u blow dry upside down and try to use a wide tooth comb or pick to get through it...instead of a brush

I have very curly VERY frizzy hair. I use Noodle Head by Beyond Zone. You can get it at Sally Beauty supply. its about $5 per product but well worth it.
